GADS Task Force

The Gateway Algorithms and Data Structures (GADS) Task Force was the precursor to the Internet Engineering Task Force. Its chairman was David L. Mills of the University of Delaware.[1]

At its dissolution, GADS was divided into two, the Internet Engineering Task Force (which dealt with the engineering and technology transfer issues that GADS had dealt with) and the Internet Architecture Task Force (which dealt with the research issues that GADS had dealt with, which Mills continued chair.)[1]
